Dedication

The organizing committee of The Laminitis Conference would like to remember the contribution to laminitis research and education made by an Appaloosa gelding named Spot.

Throughout the conference, you will hear Spot's name. He was a real horse, but he was also Every Horse. His painful experience with laminitis was tempered by his depth of character and his strong bond with his owners , Mr. and Mrs. John Castle, who have continued to fight laminitis for him.

Each of us has known a Spot. The Spots of the horse world have brought us together, and they inspire us to continue to battle laminitis. We all have Spot in common.
